Welcome to another week here on the blog. Some of you probably know by now that I couldn’t get the newsletter out this weekend due to technical difficulties at the Mail Chimp site. With any luck, it will be fixed next week. I’m contemplating cutting back to bi-weekly newsletters anyways, so perhaps by then I’ll have made a decision. I’ve created a “fan/like” page on Facebook , and there is more information on that topic under the “discussions” tab there.
We have two great book giveaways here this week, so I hope you’ll comment and enter. The first will post today around 10:00am – join me for a review of Kristen Lamb’s new book, We Are Not Alone: The Writer’s Guide to Social Media, and leave your comment for a chance to win a signed copy of the book! The drawing will be held on Friday, and the winner notified by email then and announced next Monday.
The next drawing is on Thursday, when paranormal romance Author Elisabeth Naughton joins us with an inspiring story of how she battled writer’s block brought on by tragedy, and won. She’ll be giving one lucky commenter a copy of her latest book in the Eternal Guardians series, Entwined.
Finally, if you’re interested in winning a copy of Tempest and a $20 gift certificate to Amazon.com, check out the Contest page on my main site for details on how you can get in on the drawings.
So lots going on! Here’s the blog schedule for the week:
Monday: We Are Not Alone Review & Contest
Tuesday: Construction Zone – Mixing Genres
Wednesday: Everyday Romance – Online vs Offline Meetings
Thursday: Author Elisabeth Naughton – Writer’s Block – the Real Deal
Friday: Chapter 29 of Indelibly Inked
Saturday: Notable Posts & Books
I will probably be out of town next weekend, so I’m going to do what I can to get chapter 3 of The Biker’s Wench posted on Friday night. If for some reason I can’t do that, I’ll post it Monday for sure.
The hard-copy edits for Tempest are done! Now I’ve got two weeks to get the type-in revisions done, and then I’ll send it out to my final readers/editor and work on formatting it for the different sites while I’m waiting to get the final edits back. The esteemed Carol Ward will be doing a final line-edit for me, which I’m extremely grateful for, and Heidi Sutherlin is working on finishing up the print cover – and from the mock-ups I’ve seen, it’s incredible. It takes a team to get a book ready to release, no matter how you decide to go about it…look for an acknowledgments page on my main site soon.
Goals for the Week
