Writing Session 1: The Handyman’s Harem Girl
Author/Genre: JD/Rom suspense
Words written: 323
Total Words:  33,636
Time Spent:  30 minutes (morning)

Notes: A
day off = more time for writing. I’m getting so close to the end of
this story, and honestly, I just want it over because it needs so much
work. I’ve been doing better not rushing the endings on my books lately,
but this one,  I think I’m going to purposefully rush, so I can step
back, look at the whole thing, and start revising from the beginning.
I’ve got a lot of work to do, and once I know definitively how it needs
to end, I can fix the rest of it to work toward that ending better. But I
can’t do that until I know for sure what the final two scenes are…and
to figure that out, I have to keep writing. So…more this afternoon…

Writing Session 2:THHG
Author/Genre: JD/Rom suspense
Words written: 276
Total Words:  33,912
Time Spent:  30 minutes (afternoon)

Notes:
Finished this scene…and it looks like I’m still three scenes from the
end, dang it. But this will work for tomorrow’s installment, and a good
spot to leave it off for readers until next week. I’m going to take a
break, and then work on it some more since I have time…

Writing Session 3: THHG
Author/Genre: JD/Rom suspense
Words written: 311
Total Words:  34,223
Time Spent:  30 minutes (afternoon)

Notes: Alrighty
then. Now we’re getting somewhere. I am just about to the point where
the villain is vanquished, though I suspect it’s going to be rather
distasteful. Ah well. Such is fiction. If I can finish this scene today,
I’ll be a week ahead on the serial and really, really close to “the
end” on this draft. Quick snack break, and then back to work for another
half hour before dinner.

Writing Session 4: THHG
Author/Genre: JD/Rom suspense
Words written: 220
Total Words:  34,443
Time Spent:  30 minutes (late afternoon)

Notes: And
that’s the villain, vanquished! Yay! Woohoo! Rejoicing ensues! Or it
will in the next scene, anyways. I just need to write the wrap up now,
and this draft will be done. Done, I tell you! Thank goodness.

I just need to
get my other two serial scenes for this week taken care of, which will
take Tuesday and Weds. Then I can spend the rest of the week finishing
this off and making revision plans. Which is awesome. I think I’ll go
celebrate with a brownie. No more writing tonight – I’ll start fresh
again tomorrow.
