Writing Session 1: When She Cries

Notes: Slow starting, but these transition scenes are kind of difficult, because I don’t want them to be boring, but I don’t want to skip over important emotions & information the reader needs later either. If I felt like I could skip them without the reader getting disoriented by big jumps in time, I would, but this one is kind of pivotal. Or I think it is. I might change my mind later, of course…but deleting is easy…

Notes: So…I remembered what my plan was for this book…in that it’s not sweet, but I wanted to keep it less graphic as far as the sex goes than my earlier works, just as an experiment. And I’m just gonna say it now – writing more euphemistically without being completely ridiculous is *hard*. And that’s not a euphemism! *eyeroll*  I feel like I just finished a major workout. We’ll see whether the readers like it Friday or not…

Notes: This took way longer than it should have, but it’s my own fault. I think I’ve made some sort of wrong turn, but I’m not sure exactly what. Or maybe I really do just need to cut out the transitions and get straight to the action. Except…a lot of this transition is action…or acting on other action, anyways…

In any case, it took so long I don’t have any time left for reading (and I’m falling asleep). So…to bed. Tomorrow’s another day…
