Tuesday, Mar. 25

Writing Session 1: MacKenzie Saves the World

Author/Genre: JD/sweet romance
Words written:  424
Total words:  28,317
Time Spent: 15 minutes (break)

Notes: Now we’re getting somewhere. Amazing what happens when I just get out of my own way and let the story tell itself. Magic!

Writing Session 2: Under His Wing
Author/Genre: JD/contemp. paranormal romance
Words written:  318
Total words:  8,648
Time Spent: 15 minutes (break)

Notes: I’m taking this story at a bit slower pace than normal…and I kind of like it. Makes it easier to explain things, to let things sort of tease themselves out, and easier to work in better description too, I think. The only trick is not to slow down *too* much…gotta keep the story moving so readers don’t fall asleep…and I worry that maybe I’m going *too* slow. We’ll see…

Writing Session 3: Under His Wing
Author/Genre: JD/contemp. paranormal romance
Words written:  689
Total words:  9,337
Time Spent: 30 minutes (after work)

Notes: Whew! That was *intense* And informative. And I think I need a glass of wine now…or my shoulders do, at least. While I’m at it, Katie could use some too. Poor girl (I say that a lot about her, don’t I?).

  1. You. Are. Such. A. Tease. About. Your. Stories! LOL!!!! I love reading your thoughts as you write but they also make me want to grovel and beg for an early peek at the next installment. Grovel, I tell you grovel. I have never groveled about anything. Your stories are just that addictive. I can’t wait until serial day! 😉
