Writer’s Log: December 4, 2013

Writing Session 1: MacKenzie Saves the World
Author/Genre: JD/contemporary romance
Words written:  524
Total words: 18,699
Time Spent: 15 minutes (break)

Notes:
Well that was uncomfortable. Not the writing, thank goodness, but I
left that scene off in the middle of an argument, and had to finish it
to finish the scene. And as it turns out, nothing’s really finished at
all. So…awkward and painful. But scene done…and back to the holiday
serials this afternoon.

Writing Session 2: Mr. Mysterious
Author/Genre: JD/romantic suspense
Words written:  182
Total words:  15,731
Time Spent: 15 minutes (break)

Notes:
Slow going, but what exactly do you say to your sociopathic friend now
incarcerated for carving up humans for artwork? Kind of an awkward
situation (seems to be a theme with the drafts today, eh?)…

Writing Session 3: Mr. Mysterious
Author/Genre: JD/romantic suspense
Words written:  550
Total words:  16,281
Time Spent: 45 minutes (after work)

Notes:
Yeah. More awkwardness. I mean…some gifts go just a little too far in
the “thoughtful” department, really. This story installment (and the
story) will be done – finished – complete tomorrow. Hooray for that!
