Writer’s Log: November 11, 2013

Writing Session 1: Jasmine Betrayal
Author/Genre: JD/rom. suspense
Words written: 826

Total words: 13,567
Time Spent:  45 minutes (10:45am – 11:30am)

Notes: And…scene done! Amazing what you can accomplish under pressure, isn’t it? Ironically, my characters were/are under deadline too, though the stakes are just a wee bit higher for them than for me today. And once again, the resolution to this story is taking *far* longer than I’d hoped to reach…but can’t rush it, or it won’t make logical sense. And we can’t have *that*, now, can we?

A little housework, lunch, and then on to the second scene I need to write before I can get back to the NaNo draft…

Writing Session 2: Creme Brulee
Author/Genre: TM/erotic romance
Words written: 684

Total words: 5,411
Time Spent:  30 minutes (1:30pm – 2:00pm)

Notes: Well alrighty then. I thought we’d get to the good stuff with this scene, but apparently that’ll have to wait until next week. What was I saying earlier about everything taking more words than I think it will? Applies here too, dang it. But this scene is done, and that takes care of my Friday deadlines. Back to the NaNo draft!

Writing Session 3: MacKenzie Saves the World
Author/Genre: JD/sweet contemp. romance
Words written: 822

Total words: 10,667
Time Spent:  45 minutes (3
:00pm – 3:45pm)

Notes: Oh yeah. We’re cruisin’ now. Another scene done, the first episode complete and the second started. Now I just have to figure out why the heck a chocolate fountain is so important to Andrea, and how this next episode, “A Saucy Situation” is going to shake out. After I get some vacuuming done…

Writing Session 4: MacKenzie Saves the World
Author/Genre: JD/sweet contemp. romance
Words written: 740

Total words: 11,407
Time Spent:  45 minutes (4:30pm – 5:15pm)

Notes: And that’s another scene done…and I’m done for the day. Not too bad, if I do say so myself. And a good scene too. At the risk of jinxing myself, I still really like how this is going…
